USD women post 7-0 sweep of San Francisco

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's tennis team wrapped up the weekend with a 7-0 sweep of San Francisco on Sunday afternoon from the Hogan Tennis Center. The Toreros only lost one match on the day en route to their fourth-straight victory.

USD (10-8, 6-1 WCC) won two of the three doubles matches to capture the doubles point. Juliette Coupez and Laura Claus earned an 8-3 win at No. 1, while Maja Sujica and Anna Depenau improved to 16-0 in dual doubles play (20-4 overall) with their 8-5 win at No. 2.

Singles play was all Toreros as USD earned wins on all six courts. Cara Brown won her team-best seventh-straight singles contest with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 6. Coupez and Sujica each won their team-leading 12th dual singles matches with 6-2, 6-2 and 5-7, 6-3, 10-3 victories, respectively.

The Toreros host Saint Mary's on Saturday, Apr. 21 at 10:30 am for their regular season finale.
