SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Former Torero standout Leigh Ann Robinson was one of 25 players named to the United States Women's National Team roster for the squad's three October friendlies.
Robinson, who recently finished her first season with Kansas City FC of the NWSL, was added to the roster for the squad's October 20th match against Australia (San Antonio, Tex.) and their October 27th and 30th matches against New Zealand, which are in San Francisco and Columbus, Ohio respectively.
Robinson earned her first cap with the U.S. team of her career on September 3 in a friendly against Mexico in Washington D.C. At 27, Robinson became the 4th oldest woman to earn her first cap with the U.S. team.
Robinson, a defender, entered the match in the 56th minute and helped the backline hold the shutout.
