SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's basketball team continues to receive votes in the Associated Press Top-25 poll, after remaining undefeated on the season at 10-0. This marks the third consecutive week USD has received votes.
The Toreros kept their perfect record intact with a 68-51 win at Long Beach State on Friday. The Toreros held the 49ers to 27.1 (16-59) percent shooting from the field and outrebounded them 49-22. Junior Katelyn McDaniel led the way with a career-high 18 rebounds to go along with her 11 points. It was her fourth double-double in the past five games and her performance earned her WCC Player of the Week Honors. McDaniel was one of four Toreros to score in double figures.
The Toreros are the last WCC team without a loss and are currently holding a RPI rank of No. 18.
The Toreros will wrap up their non-conference schedule on Friday when they host UC Irvine (5-5) at 6:00 p.m. at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
