SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's basketball team, under the direction of ninth-year head coach Cindy Fisher, continue to receive votes in both the Associated Press and ESPN Coaches top-25 polls. This marks the seventh consecutive week that the Toreros have either received votes, or have been ranked in the top-25 this season.

The Toreros have surpassed any USD team before them, by beginning the season 15-0, then jumping into the top-25 on the week of Jan. 6 at No. 24 for the first-time in program history. San Diego (16-2, 4-2 WCC) has defeated four post-season teams from a year ago along the way in Northern Colorado, Idaho, San Diego State and Saint Mary's. USD has also knocked off Arizona State, who is currently ranked No. 14 in the AP top-25 this week. USD currently stands as one of ASU's three losses on the season, and the Sun Devils have knocked off the likes of No. 11 North Carolina, and No. 20 Syracuse.

The Toreros will return to action on Thursday, as they host Santa Clara University in a 6 p.m. West Coast Conference game inside the friendly confines of the Jenny Craig Pavilion.
