Toreros Cruise Into Main Draw of All-Americans

TULSA, Ok. - The University of San Diego men's tennis team competed in the final day of qualifying rounds for the doubles bracket of the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Junior Jordan Angus and sophomore Filip Vittek, who received a pre-season ranking of No. 28 nationally, have won three-straight matches in a row to qualify for the main draw.

The fifth-seeded pair dominated this afternoon, taking down Georgia Tech's Cole Fiegel and Nathan Rakitt 6-3, 6-1. Yesterday, Angus and Vittek played a doubleheader, defeating Valparaiso's Charlie Emhardt and Jeffrey Schorsch 6-4, 7-6(4), while knocking off TCU's Trey Daniel and Trevor Johnson 6-4, 6-1.

The duo get set to compete in the first round of the main draw beginning tomorrow, October 2nd, at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
