Former USD Toreros men's basketball forward Dennis Kramer (Encinitas, Calif.) will begin his professional career overseas in Germany, as the 6-11 forward recently signed a two-year contract with Brose Baskets Bamberg in Germany.
Kramer, who was born in Cologne, Germany, has dual citizenship. He helped lead the USD Toreros to an 18-17 record this past season. He started all 35 games and finished with averages of 11.5 points per game and a team-best 6.6 rebounds. He also topped all Toreros in the shooting department as he converted 53.4% of his shots from the field (164-307). He posted three double-doubles in scoring and rebounding and finished with season highs of 25 points (@ Saint Mary's) and 13 rebounds (vs. Pacifica). Kramer played 127 games (4th best all-time) during his four-year stint and ranks 5th all-time in career blocked shots (99).
Kramer has been a member of both the U18 and U20 German National team and played in the U18 and U20 European Championships. Kramer's father, Arvid Kramer, played and coached in Germany. He retired as a player in 1996 and worked as a general manager for the Bonn team in Germany from 1999 to 2005.
