SAN DIEGO, Calif â€" The USD Men's Basketball team opens their regular season this Friday at USC in Los Angeles. The team completed their preseason with a 95-42 victory over Caltech in the Jenny Craig Pavilion.

Freshman guard Olin Carter III led the Toreros with 14 points while senior center Jito Kok contributed 12 rebounds to the teams' victory. Twelve players scored for first-year Head Coach Lamont Smith, including five freshmen.

Friday the team opens the regular season at USC. The Trojans went 12-20 last season but return many key-players from last year's team. The game will be televised on the Pac-12 Network and is set to tip-off at 5:00 p.m.
