SAN DIEGO – San Diego will take on Long Beach State for the first time since 1992 on Saturday at 7 p.m. PT.

The Toreros (5-2) will look to get back in the win column after dropping a 93-86 decision at Ole Miss on Wednesday. The 49ers (2-6) will try to snap a three-game losing streak and is coming off a 75-65 defeat at USC.

LAST TIME OUT
• San Diego cut a 16-point second-half deficit to five points in the final minute but could not complete the comeback, falling 93-86 to Ole Miss on Wednesday evening at The Pavilion.

• The Toreros played well but could not slow down an Ole Miss team that caught fire in the second half. It was a two-point game at halftime but the Rebels shot 71 percent in the second half to take control of the game.

Yauhen Massalski, who left the game early in the first half with an injury. Ole Miss capitalized on his absence and out-rebounded USD, 33-26. The Rebels are the only team to out-rebound the Toreros in both halves.

Alex Floresca played a season-high 36 minutes – logging extra minutes due to Massalski's absence – and contributed a career-high five assists. He tied his season high of five rebounds.
