This Week » The Toreros head to UC San Diego to compete in the California Collegiate Invitational on Saturday.

Last Time Out » USD traveled across town to San Diego State on Friday to compete in the Aztec Invitational. Fourteen Toreros recorded personal bests and 15 finished in top-10 spots in multiple races.

Need to Know » Max Pedrotti is training to break the school record in the 3km race and he came close at the Aztec Invite (8:41.89).

BASEBALL (12-12, 3-3 WCC)

This Week » San Diego remains on the road this week and begins play at No. 3 Stanford on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The Toreros then travel to San Francisco for a three-game series. Games will take place Thursday and Friday at 3 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m.

Last Time Out » The Toreros traveled to Cal State Fullerton last Tuesday, where they dropped a 9-3 decision. Then USD headed to Pacific for a three-game conference series. They won the first two games, 7-4 and 9-0, respectively, and lost the third, 9-7.

Need to Know » Chris Murphy was named WCC Pitcher of the Week after holding Pacific scoreless through 7 2/3 innings, scattering seven this and racking up 11 strikeouts in a 9-0 victory for the Toreros.

MEN'S BASKETBALL (20-14)

Last Time Out » After an impressive postseason performance, the Toreros fell to Northern Colorado at home last Wednesday night, 86-75.

Need to Know » The Toreros earned 20 wins for the first time since the 2007-08 season when they went 22-14 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

MEN'S CREW

Last Time Out » The Toreros participated in the San Diego Crew Classic last weekend where their V8+ team made it to the grand final and placed fifth. The 2V8+ team made it to the petit final, where they placed third. The men's 3V8+ event placed fifth in a straight final.

Need to Know » USD has a couple of weeks off before they head to Philadelphia for the Kerr Cup on April 14.

WOMEN'S ROWING

Last Time Out » The 2V8+ took first place in the third final while the V8+ earned a sixth-place finish in the petite final Sunday afternoon.

Need to Know » The women will also take a couple weeks off from competition before competing in the Lake Natoma Invite on April 14-15.

FOOTBALL

Last Time Out » The Toreros welcomed scouts from 13 NFL teams to campus to participate in USD's Pro Day featuring Ross Dwelley (TE), Jonathan Petersen (DE), Justin Priest (WR) and Jack Flatau (P). Heisman winner and NFL quarterback, Johnny Manziel, made a guest appearance to throw passes to Dwelley and Priest.
