SAN DIEGO - Maria-Paula Torres and Kati Kukaras won both in doubles and singles to help San Diego (4-5) earn their win against Boston (5-6), 5-2.
While the Boston Terriers earned the doubles point, Maria-Paula Torres and Kati Kukaras started the match with momentum when they defeated BU's Kostirko and Kim in a 6-0 shutout at the No. 2 spot.
Boston earned the first point in singles play to lead 2-0. The lead was short lived when Gemma Garcia followed by Maria-Paula Torres won their matches to tie the Terriers.
Carolin Nonenmacher defeated Martens at the No. 6 spot in a three set match 1-6, 6-1, 6-3.
Nicole Anderson battled it out her win against Kostriko at the No. 1 position in another three-set match, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4. Her point clinced the win for the Toreros with a score of 4-2.
USD and BU agreed to continue play to completetion regardless of an early win.
Kati Kukaras, who already had a win under her belt, finished out the match with a win against Burchell at the No. 3 position, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.
Next up the Toreros host Saint Mary's for their second conference match of the season on Sunday at 11 a.m.
