Borter, Norfeldt Lose in Doubles Quarterfinals

Toreros finished the ITA Southwest Regionals with 3 doubles wins, 5 singles

MALIBU, Calif. – Nico Borter and David Norfeldt pushed to the ITA Southwest Regionals quarterfinals on Saturday, but the duo lost to USC's Brandon Holt and Logan Smith 8-2 to have their run come to end at Pepperdine University.
 
Borter and Norfeldt finished with two of San Diego's three doubles wins in the tournament as a Torero pair reached the ITA Regionals quarters for the second year in a row.
 
In addition to the three doubles wins, the Toreros combined for five singles victories. Freshman Sacchitt Sharrma advanced into the Round of 16 but was unable to compete due to injury and dropped out.
 
San Diego completes its fall schedule in two weeks with the SoCal Intercollegiate Championships November 7-9.
