LAS VEGAS—No. 42 San Diego secured its sixth consecutive win with a 6-1 victory over Michigan State on Sunday afternoon at theFertitta Tennis Complex.

The Toreros (8-2) clinched the doubles point with No. 1 pair
Solymar Colling and
Maria-Paula Torres defeating the Spartans' (9-6) Samantha Memije and Nicole Stephens, 6-2.Â

MSU's Lauren Lemonds and Davina Nguyen defeated
Daniela Morales and
Maria Tyrina in a 6-2 decision however, USD clinched the doubles point with
Gemma Garcia and
Kati Kukaras taking Maja Pietrowicz and Caroline Szabo, 6-3.

Lemonds provided the only point for the Spartans with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Morales for No. 2 singles to tie it up. The Toreros secured five-straight victories with Colling, Garcia, Kukaras, Torres and Tyrina coming out on top to solidify the win.

The Toreros return home to face Yale on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. before beginning conference play.
