SAN DIEGO – No. 30 San Diego earned its fifth straight victory in a dominating 4-0 win at San Diego State on Saturday.
 
It is the third sweep of the season for the Toreros (11-3), which have won nine of their past 10 matches.
 
USD got off to a great start, taking an early 1-0 lead over the Aztecs (5-5) by picking up the doubles point. 
August Holmgren and 
Joel Gamerov earned a decisive 6-3 result at No. 3. 
Nico Borter and 
Gui Osorio clinched the point with a 7-5 win at No. 1.
 
No. 70 Osorio quickly doubled the Toreros lead in singles play with an efficient 6-3, 6-1, victory against at No. 2. It was the fifth consecutive victory for Osorio and he improved to 5-2 when playing in the second position this season.
 
Borter made it 3-0 in favor of USD when he defeated Ignacio Martinez, 6-3, 7-5, at No. 3. Borter has won three straight and is 7-2 in his last nine matches.
 
David Norfeldt provided the clinching point with a 6-3, 6-3, victory against Arnaud Restifo at No. 5.
 
The Toreros will look to continue their momentum next weekend when they welcome multiple teams to campus, playing host to the Spring Invite.
