SAN DIEGO – No. 37 San Diego won its 10th consecutive match and third sweep of the season, defeating BYU 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Toreros (12-2, 3-0 WCC) have won 12 of their past 13 matches.
 
USD got off to a quick start in doubles play with decisive 6-1 victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Kati Kukaras and Gemma Garcia picked up the win at No. 3, and Daniela Morales and Maria Tyrina earned the victory at No. 2 to seal the doubles point.
 
Maria-Paula Torres defeated Katie Fitt at No. 5, 6-0, 6-1, to double USD's lead, 2-0.
 
Reigning WCC Singles Player of the Week, Solymar Colling, earned a 6-4, 6-1, victory at No. 1 against Kate Cusick.
 
Maria Tyrina clinched the match with a win at No. 6, defeating Samantha Smith, 6-2, 1-6, 6-0.
 
San Diego will look to keep its momentum going next week with matches at Santa Clara and San Francisco.
