Final Homestand

San Diego will honor its seniors on Sunday

SAN DIEGO – No. 41 San Diego plays host to No. 8 Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount this weekend in its final homestand of the season.
 
The Toreros (14-2, 5-0 WCC) begin the weekend by taking on the Waves (15-3, 5-0 WCC) on Friday at 1 p.m. PT in a meeting between the WCC's two undefeated teams in conference play. USD will celebrate its seniors, Sophia Chow and Maria-Paula Torres, on Sunday at 11 a.m. against the Lions (7-6, 2-3 WCC).
 
The Toreros enter the weekend on a 12-match winning-streak and have won 14 of their past 15 matches.
 
Gemma Garcia and Kati Kukaras lead the Toreros in doubles play with a team-best 11-match winning-streak. Kukaras has also won a team-high four consecutive singles matches.
 
Solymar Colling has played every singles and doubles match at the No. 1 position this season and holds dual match records of 9-4 and 8-2, respectively.
 
Pepperdine also enters the week on a 12-match winning streak and is coming off a 4-1 win at USC earlier this week.
 
LMU split a pair of matches last week, beating Portland 5-0 but falling to Gonzaga 4-3.
