Toreros Pursue Sixth Straight WCC Tournament Title

San Diego begins play on Friday at 1:30 p.m.

SAN DIEGO – No. 30 San Diego will pursue its sixth straight WCC Tournament title this weekend at the Biszantz Tennis Center in Claremont, California.
 
The Toreros (18-4, 8-1 WCC) capped their regular season last weekend with a pair of wins to secure their fifth WCC regular-season title in the past six years.
 
USD enters the postseason on a four-match winning-streak and have won 12 of its past 13 matches.
 
The Toreros secured the No. 1 seed in the tournament and earned a bye to the semifinal round on Friday at 1:30 p.m. PT. USD will take on the winner of No. 4 Loyola Marymount and No. 5 Pepperdine. USD has won its semifinal match in six of the past seven years.
 
The Toreros beat both LMU and Pepperdine earlier this season, earning a 4-1 win against the Lions and a 4-2 victory against the Waves.
