Toreros Head to WCC Tournament

San Diego pursues second team title in program history

SAN DIEGO – No. 36 San Diego will pursue its second WCC Tournament title in program history this weekend at the Biszantz Tennis Center in Claremont, California.

The Toreros (17-3, 8-1 WCC) completed their best regular season since 2012, finishing second in the WCC to earn the No. 2 seed in the tournament. USD's only WCC title came during that 2012 season.

USD earned a first-round bye and will take on either No. 3 Gonzaga or No. 6 BYU in the semifinals on Friday at 10 a.m. PT. The Toreros defeated both programs earlier this season, winning 4-3 against the Bulldogs and 4-0 against the Cougars.

USD enters the postseason on a three-match winning streak and have won 15 of their past 16 matches.

A live stream and live statistics will be available for all matches via USDToreros.com.
