SAN DIEGO – San Diego plays its final two regular season road matches this weekend when it heads to Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine.

The Toreros (15-4, 5-1 WCC) begin weekend play on Saturday at noon PT against the Lions (5-12, 3-2 WCC) and will head to Pepperdine on Sunday at 1 p.m.

USD earned a convincing 5-0 victory against Santa Clara this past weekend to secure its ninth win in its past 10 matches.

The Toreros got off to a strong start in doubles play as
Nico Borter and
Gui Osorio defeated Andrew Gu and Robert Seby, 6-1, at the No. 1 position. The duo improved to 8-4 when playing at the No. 1 position this season.

Noah Dufort and
David Norfeldt clinched the doubles point by defeating Connor Garnett and Kamran Khan, 6-3, at No. 3.

Norfeldt doubled the Toreros lead with a quick 6-1, 6-2, victory against Arthur Neuhaus at No. 5. It was Norfeldt's second consecutive singles victory and he improved to 3-0 in WCC play.

Osorio, ranked No. 64 nationally, followed with a decisive 6-1, 6-1, win at No. 1 against Gu to put USD up, 3-0. Osorio has won a team-best nine consecutive matches and is 6-0 in WCC play this season.

Gamerov clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-4, win at No. 3 against Vasileios Iliopoulos, 6-2, 6-4. It is his second straight win and he improved to 4-2 when playing in the No. 3 spot.

August Holmgren finished his match and won 6-3, 6-2, at No. 2.
