MALIBU, Calif. – Facing his third ranked opponent in two days, senior Gui Osorio won the first set against No. 66 Olivier Stuart of Mercer but eventually fell in three sets 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the consolation bracket finals of the Oracle ITA Masters on Sunday at the Malibu Racquet Club.
 
No. 32 Osorio was effective in his serve in the first set, continuing his strengths from Saturday's two singles victories, to take the 1-0 set lead. However, Stuart cleaned up his attack in the second and third sets to win the match.
 
Osorio finished the tournament 3-2 in singles and is now 5-4 this fall. His two ranked wins came against No. 63 Zdenek Derkas (Fresno State) and No. 65 Nicaise Muamba (Liberty).
 
San Diego men's tennis will now gear up for the San Diego State Fall Invite at the Aztec Tennis Center Friday through Sunday.
