SAN DIEGO - San Diego softball (10-11) split the final day of the San Diego Classic with a decisive 6-1 victory over Mount St. Mary's and a 4-0 loss to No. 1 UCLA.

Delaney Heller went all seven innings against the Bruins and helped hold the defending NCAA Champions to their lowest scoring effort in the San Diego Classic.

GAME ONE - MOUNT ST. MARY'S
Four San Diego players notched multiple hits to help lead the Toreros over the Mountaineers 6-1 on Sunday morning.

Rose went all seven innings in the circle, giving up one run on six hits, allowing no walks and striking out six.

Elisa Princic led the hit barrage for the Toreros, going 2-for-2 in the ballgame with a double and two RBIs. Junior
Halle Kyler compiled a standout game as well, going 2-for-4 with a home run and an RBI.

The Toreros put runs on the scoreboard first, starting the scoring in the second inning. San Diego scored three runs in the frame, highlighted by a two-RBI double from senior
Sara Silveyra.

The Toreros then lost some of their lead, expanding on their advantage in the third inning after the Mountaineers cut it to 3-1. San Diego picked up a run off a leadoff home run from Kyler, which brought the score to 4-1 in favor of the Toreros.

San Diego kept Mount St. Mary's without a run before building their lead to 6-1 in the fifth inning. The Toreros pushed two runs across on a two-run double off the bat of Princic that scored Kyler and freshman
Clareese Santiago. The score remained 6-1 for the rest of the game, as San Diego coasted to the win.

GAME TWO - NO. 1 UCLA
Heller went the distance against No. 1 UCLA to hold the Bruins to their lowest offensive effort in the tournament. The right hander struck out two and walked only one in 113 pitch outing.

At the plate, the Toreros struggled to string hits together, managing zero chances with runners on third as three pitchers combined for the shutout. The Toreros last got a runner on third in the sixth, when Kyler made it 60 feet away from scoring with one out.

Lauren Hendrickson led the way offensively, going 1-for-2 with a double.

The defense turned their fifth double play of the year as Silveyra, Kyler and
Kelli Kufta combined for the putout to close out the side in the top of the second.
