Toreros Add Match against Liberty for Wednesday

USD, Harvard canceled due ongoing COVID-19 outbreak

SAN DIEGO – After a sudden cancellation in its schedule, San Diego men's tennis added a new home match to its spring slate and will play Liberty at the Hogan Tennis Center on Wednesday at 1 p.m., head coach Ryan Keckley and USD Athletics administration announced.

USD was forced to add the Flames to the schedule after Harvard, who was scheduled to play at San Diego on March 19, canceled its travel to California for the remainder of March – as well as several other road events for its varsity programs – as a preemptive measure due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.

USD and Liberty have never met in the two program's histories.

The Flames are 8-5 this season and 3-4 on the road. They were available to play the match against the Toreros after playing at No. 22 UCLA on Monday (L, 1-6).

The Toreros, meanwhile, are on a four-match winning streak and will use the Liberty match to kick start an eight-match homestand through April 4.

Live stats will be available for the USD-Liberty match here.
