SAN DIEGO — USD swimming and diving completed its fifth event of the 2021-2022 season on Saturday, taking down Loyola Marymount by a score of 182-98 at the USD Sports Center Pool to earn a win.
The Toreros won 14 out of the Saturday's 16 events, notching first-place finishes in the Girls 200 Yard Medley Relay, Girls 1 Meter Diving, Girls 200 Yard Freestyle, Girls 100 Yard Backstroke, Girls 100 Yard Breaststroke, Girls 200 Yard Butterfly, Girls 50 Yard Freestyle, Girls 3 Meter Diving, Girls 100 Yard Freestyle, Girls 200 Yard Breaststroke, Girls 500 Yard Freestyle, and the Girls 100 Yard Butterfly.
Freshman
Jane Riehs led the way for USD with a final score of 265.43 and nine points in the Girls 1 Meter dive, plus another nine points and a score if 244.58 in the Girls Three Meter Diving.

Alexa Phillips won the Girls 200 Yard Medley Relay with a finals time of 1:48.20 and 11 points.

Haley Ohlson won the Girls 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 2:03.27, earning her team three points.

Mia Shaeffer was first in the Girls 200 Yard Butterfly, for 2:12.94 and nine points.
Junior
Rachel Hubka won the Girls 50-Yard Freestyle with a time of 24.84 and got nine points.
Sophomore
Jayne Brandt rounded out the action with a time of 54.20 in the Girls 100 Yard Freestyle, good for nine points after she recorded a time of 54.20
The Toreros are back in action on Thursday, November 18, when they travel to Los Angeles to take part in the ELAC Invite. The event is set to run through Saturday, November 20.
