Toreros Set To Kick Off 2021 Season

First match in renovated Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Center

SAN DIEGO - San Diego men's tennis will be opening up its spring season this Friday at 2 p.m. with a match against the Cal Poly. 

This match marks the inaugural match in the newly renovated Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Center.

Due to current state and county guidelines, fans will not be permitted inside Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Center. Fans can follow along with live statistics coverage here. 

San Diego has won five straight against Cal Poly with the last match coming in 2015 which the Toreros won 7-0. The Mustangs finished with a record of 4-6 last season. 

The Toreros enter the 2021 season looking for their seventh straight WCC title. 

Coach Ryan Keckley, who is entering his sixth season coaching the Toreros, leads a team frontlined by three players who received preseason ITA Rankings. Redshirt senior Gui Osorio and redshirt junior Nico Borter received a No. 26 ranking in the ITA's doubles rankings while Osorio and redshirt junior August Holmgren were ranked No. 51 and No. 60 respectively. 

San Diego returns four players additional from last season's team along with two freshman newcomers.
