EUGENE, Ore. - August Holmgren won his tenth straight singles match, but San Diego men's tennis (5-7, 1-1 WCC) fell 6-1 on the road at Oregon (13-2)

The Toreros lost the first doubles match as Garrett Kurtz and Blake Kasday fell 6-3 on court three but responded with a 6-2 win on court one by August Holmgren and David Norfeldt who defeated a nationally ranked Oregon pair. . 

San Diego then pushed the final doubles match to a tiebreak, but Oregon secured the doubles point with a 7-6 (7-4) win on court two. 

In singles, Oregon continued to widen the gap with back to back wins on courts four and two. The Ducks then clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-3 win on court five. 

No. 39 Holmgren continued to be a bright spot for San Diego with a 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) victory on court one to put the final score at 6-1. 

San Diego will be back on the court on Friday,  April 2 to face Gonzaga on the road at 1 p.m. (PT).
