PROVO, Utah - San Diego men's tennis (6-9, 3-2 WCC) finished their five-game road trip with a hard-fought 4-0 loss at BYU (11-5, 5-0 WCC) on Saturday. 

"We stayed the course and fought when our backs were against the wall.", said head coach Ryan Keckley. "I was proud of our boys for making the necessary adjustments throughout the match to give us a path to win." 

After losing the doubles point, the Toreros lost two more singles matches which put them down 3-0. On court one, August Holmgren pushed his opponent to three sets but fell 2-6, 6-3, 7-5, which clinched the match for the Cougars.

Nico Borter and David Norfeldt were both up in their third sets when the match was clinched. 

"If we continue to compete like this, we will find ourselves in positions to win." 

The Toreros will be back on the court on Sunday, April 18 as they take on Santa Clara at home at noon (PT)
