Toreros Face Aztecs in Season Finale

Nico Borter and Garrett Kurtz will be honored in final home match

SAN DIEGO - San Diego men's tennis (8-10, 5-3 WCC) will wrap up its season with a showdown against crosstown rival SDSU (5-14) at the Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Center on Saturday, May 1 at 12:30 p.m.

The match will also feature a ceremony honoring Nico Borter and Garrett Kurtz, who will be playing their final match as Toreros'. The ceremony will take place in between the doubles and singles matches.

All-time, San Diego is 9-7 against the Aztecs and swept their local foe 4-0 in 2020 at the ITA Kick-off Weekend in Los Angeles.

Last time out, the Toreros fell 4-0 to No. 30 Pepperdine in Malibu. Despite losing the doubles point and being forced to forfeit on courts five and six in singles, San Diego fought hard and nearly pushed the remaining singles matches all three sets before losing on court four.

USD Athletics is excited to welcome back limited spectators for home events. No tickets are available for the general public. Click here for more information regarding our 2021 spring season fan policy.
