Toreros Take on Cougars

San Diego looks to continue winning streak

SAN DIEGO - Riding a four-match winning streak, San Diego women's tennis (9-3, 3-0 WCC) will welcome BYU (14-6, 3-1 WCC) to the Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Center on Saturday, April 10 at 11:00 a.m. (PT).

All-time, the Toreros are 5-4 versus the Cougars. The programs last faced off in 2019, which led to a 4-0 victory for San Diego at home.

Last time out, the Toreros defeated Portland 7-0 at home. The win was highlighted by Jordyn McBride and Abigail Desiatnikov continuing their singles match winning streaks. McBride won her third match in a row with a dominating 6-0, 6-0 sweep on court two, and Desiatnikov won her second in a row with a 6-2, 6-0 win on court three. The two have also been a formidable doubles pairing, having won three in a row in double's play.

McBride's 10-2 and Solymar Colling's 9-3 singles record's this season have been among the many reasons the Toreros are sitting in first place in the WCC standings heading into this weekend.

USD Athletics is excited to welcome back limited spectators for home events. No tickets are available for the general public. Click here for more information regarding our 2021 spring season fan policy.
