SAN DIEGO – The #40 University of San Diego women's tennis team defeated #38 Columbia on Friday, 4-3.   
 
After each team won a doubles match, Solymar Colling and Jordyn McBride earned a clutch 7-5 result to earn the doubles point.
 
In singles play, Colling cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 1. Elizabeth Goldsmith earned a 6-3, 7-5 victory at No. 2, and McBride clinched the overall win with a 6-3, 6-3 result at No. 4.
 
USD improves to 9-3 on the season, including a perfect 7-0 at home.
