SAN DIEGO – The No. 21 University of San Diego men's tennis team improved to 4-0 in WCC play on Saturday, sweeping BYU, 4-0.
 
USD captured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 (Sacchitt Sharrma/Gui Osorio) and No. 2 (David Norfeldt/Marvin Schaber).
 
In singles play, USD got victories from Iiro Vasa at No. 5, Schaber at No. 6, and Alex Stater at No. 3.
 
"Another great start in singles helped us earn the 4-0 win over conference opponent BYU," said head coach Ryan Keckley. "We came out of the gates hot and never let BYU settle in to the conditions today. With the rain pushing back the match two hours, the air was very heavy which made it challenging for both teams to hit through the court. I thought we did a better job adjusting and staying focused down the stretch. We look forward to finally hitting the road next week for a few more WCC match ups in the Bay area."
 
USD improves to 15-2 on the season, including 14-1 at home.
