OJAI, CA – The No. 3 seed University of San Diego women's tennis team defeated No. 2 Loyola Marymount in the WCC Semifinals on Friday, 4-1.
 
After the Lions won the doubles point, USD bounced back with four straight singles wins.
 
Jordyn McBride raced to a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 3, followed by Claudia De Las Heras with a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 4.
 
After Elizabeth Goldsmith earned a 6-1, 7-5 victory at No. 2, Abigail Desiatnikov clinched the overall win at No. 5 by a score of 7-5, 6-2.
 
San Diego improves to 16-5 on the season, and will face No. 8 Pepperdine in the championship match tomorrow afternoon.
