BERKELEY, CA – In the final day of ITA Kickoff Weekend, the University of San Diego women's tennis team upended #11 Cal, 4-1. The Toreros earn a spot in the 2023 ITA National Team Indoor Championships, which will take place February 10-13.
For the second straight day, USD won the doubles points with victories at No. 1 (
Kailey Evans/
Elizabeth Goldsmith) and No. 3 (
Claudia De Las Heras/
Jordyn McBride).
Goldsmith dominated in singles once again at No. 4, defeating #93 Hannah Viller Moeller 6-1, 6-1.
Evans brought USD to a 3-1 lead, winning at No. 6 by a score of 6-3, 6-2.
Solymar Colling clinched the match at No. 1 with a 6-4, 7-6 victory.
