HOW IT HAPPENED – SAN DIEGO 6, HARVARD 5
- In a rainy and wet start to the game, the Toreros fell into an early 3-0 hole in the first inning, as Harvard took advantage of some walks.
- However, San Diego would not go away quietly, as EJ Joyner led off the game with a double down the right field line and Izzy Owen drove her in to shave the deficit to just two runs.
- While Courtney Rose danced out of trouble in the circle in the next two innings, her offense provided more support for her in the third inning.
- Owen and Emma Giaime both reached on a walk and single respectively and advanced a base on a wild pitch.
- Needing a big hit, Roberts stepped to the plate and laced a 3-1 pitch into the right center field gap to score both and tie the game at 3-3.
- Harvard jumped back in front in the fourth inning and maintained the advantage going into the seventh inning.
- The Crimson added some insurance in the seventh with an RBI single, but the Toreros had one more opportunity in the bottom half of the frame.
- Mikalyn Emanuelli led off the inning with a single and with two outs, Taylor Johnson kept the line moving, on a single of her own.
- Roberts stepped to the plate and launched the second pitch she saw deep over the right field wall to earn a walk-off win over the Crimson.

HOW IT HAPPENED – SAN DIEGO 2, HARVARD 2 (F/8)
- Game two proved to be a low-scoring pitching duel, as Madison Earnshaw turned in another sensational performance in the circle, throwing her third complete game of the season.
- The redshirt senior opened up play with three scoreless innings, holding Harvard in check.
- While the Crimson struck for two runs in the fourth, the Toreros had an answer in the bottom half of the frame.
- After a Roberts hit-by-pitch and a Giaime single, Ashley Daugherty made the most of her opportunity with runners in scoring position, driving home Roberts with an RBI single.
- The Toreros kept the pressure up and loaded the bases, setting up Amanda Limon, who tied the game with sacrifice fly.
- Earnshaw remained composed in the circle and added two more strikeouts to her total over the next three innings and worked around a leadoff single in the seventh inning to keep the game locked at 2-2.
- As the rain began to fall, the Toreros got a chance to win the game in the bottom of the eighth inning, loading the bases with just one out.
- However, the Toreros could not strike for a run and with the rain becoming heavier, the game was called as a 2-2 tie at the end of the eighth inning.
