Match Recap: Men's Tennis |

#30 Men’s Tennis Sweeps LMU, 4-0

LOS ANGELES, CA – In the final road match of the regular season, the No. 30 University of San Diego men's tennis team swept LMU, 4-0.

San Diego earned the doubles point with wins at No. 1 (Iiro Vasa/Sacchitt Sharrma) and No. 2 (Oliver Tarvet/Stian Klaassen).

In singles, Tarvet was the first to finish with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 2. Marvin Schaber followed that up with a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 4, and freshman Lambert Ruland clinched the match at No. 6 by a score of 6-3, 6-2.

"The boys did their job today," said head coach Ryan Keckley. "They understand how hard it is to win matches on the road and came in very prepared. They maintained their professional mindset while owning their own energetic personality. We got up early on a few courts and stayed focused on what was giving us success. I'm very proud of these guys for going 2-0 on the weekend and setting the bar for the weeks to come."

San Diego improves to 15-6 (7-1 WCC), and will host Saint Mary's for the regular season finale next Sunday.
