MORAGA, CA – The No. 29 University of San Diego women's tennis team raced to a road sweep of Saint Mary's on Friday, 4-0.
San Diego won the doubles point with wins at No. 3 (
Elizabeth Goldsmith/
Filippa Bruu-Syversen) and No. 2 (
Claudia De Las Heras/
Jordyn McBride), both by a score of 6-2.
In singles, McBride quickly put up USD's second point with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 5. Bruu-Syversen followed that up with a 6-3, 6-0 victory at No. 6, and De Las Heras clinched the match at No. 1, 6-3, 6-4.
San Diego improves to 11-9 (5-1 WCC) on the season, and will travel to Pacific tomorrow for the regular season finale.
