SAN DIEGO – The San Diego men's cross country team is set for their second invite of the season, traveling to South Bend, Ind., for the National Catholic Invite hosted by Notre Dame on Friday, Sept. 14.
The event is open to collegiate, Catholic institutions, as the Toreros will face some of the nation's premier programs.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- The event marks a return to South Bend, Ind., where the Toreros last competed at the Joe Piane Invitational in 2021, placing sixth overall
- Will Stefanou will make his return to South Bend, previously placing 62nd at the Joe Piane Invitational.
- Russell Gokemeijer started the Toreros 2023 season off strong, placing 18th at the LMU South Bay Twilight.
- Freshmen Anthony Lenzini and Jack DeVries also made their collegiate debut at LMU placing 36th and 39th.
