Statement Made: Women’s Tennis Downs No. 2 Texas A&M

Box Score SAN DIEGO – The San Diego women's tennis program (1-1, 0-0 WCC) made history on Saturday, recording the highest-ranked victory in program history by defeating No. 2 Texas A&M (0-1, 0-0 SEC), 5-2, on Saturday afternoon at the Hogan Tennis Center.

"I'm so proud of the way our team competed today," said head coach Nadia Abdala. "Yesterday, the loss against Stanford was a great lesson and I am very proud that we were able to learn from our mistakes yesterday and apply it today. Today's win was a team effort – it was a collective. We brought our energy, our vibrancy was really, really high and at the end of the day, our girls earned it. I am very happy for them and hoping that we can build on this incredible win for our program.
