Box Score SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The No. 14 San Diego women's tennis program (8-3, 0-0 WCC) earned another convincing victory, downing UC Santa Barbara (5-7, 0-0 Big West) on Sunday afternoon at the Arnhold Tennis Center.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Toreros struck early by securing the doubles point with quick wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
• Jordyn McBride and Filippa Bruu-Syversen each earned a pair of convincing victories at No. 4 and No. 6 singles, by rolling to 6-1 opening set wins and securing one decisive break each in the second set.
• While Mia Mack led 6-4, 4-1, the Toreros got an added advantage as her opponent was forced to retire with an injury, which allowed San Diego to secure an additional point.
• Elizabeth Goldsmith also kept her lengthy winning streak intact, winning her eighth straight singles match with a 6-3, 6-3 decision.
• After the match was in hand, Kailey Evans was able to secure a three-set thriller for an additional point.

• The Toreros will host a pair of home matches next weekend, beginning with SMU on Friday at 10 a.m., at the Hogan Tennis Center.
