SAN DIEGO - San Diego Track & Field set to travel to UC San Diego for the Triton Invitational on Saturday morning, fresh off a day of fourteen personal records at the Aztec Invitation two weekends ago; this will wrap up their third consecutive local meet in San Diego.
 
"Life is a lot like training long distance; endurance is key," said coach William Guarino. "We always want to be looking ahead at what can be accomplished in the future, and each competition is an opportunity to show that we are one step closer to our goals."

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

• The Toreros main focus for this event will be in the 800m and 1500m races, with most of the team running in one of the two or both races.
• Daniella Hubble and Aryam Jaimes are both looking to continue their strong starts to the season this weekend.
  • Daniella is coming off a 1st place finish in the 3k steeplechase last meet, which was a new school record and personal record by 24 seconds at 10:38.43.
  • She will be competing in both the 800m and 1500m and is looking to set impressive times for both events.
  • Jaimes is also emerging from a successful last meet, running a personal best and the 12th all-time fastest time of 4:42.75 in the 1500m.
  • She will also compete in both events and is hoping to have exceptional finishes
• Saturday's meet is another opportunity to set times in advance of the Bryan Clay Invitations next Thursday, Apr. 11th - Saturday Apr. 13th. The Toreros will attend the meet those days based on their times from this season so far.
• Further events include the Steve Scott Invitational on Apr. 27th and the Oxy Invite on May 4th.
