USD Athletics Announces NIL Partnership With Olé Foundation

New organization is committed to providing opportunities for Toreros to earn income through their Name, Image, and Likeness

SAN DIEGO — University of San Diego Athletics on Thursday afternoon announced its official partnership with the Olé Foundation, a dedicated initiative supporting Torero student-athletes' Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) rights. Founded by USD alumni, the Olé Foundation is committed to providing opportunities for the University of San Diego's 17 varsity teams to earn income through their NIL.

The Olé Foundation will collaborate closely with the USD athletic department to ensure comprehensive support for all 450 student-athletes, aligning with the university's mission, tradition, and values.

"We are incredibly fortunate to have a cohort of devoted alumni rallying behind our student-athletes," said USD Associate Vice President and Executive Director of Athletics Kimya Massey. "The Olé Foundation is poised to set the standard for NIL initiatives within our athletic community. We are committed and will be nimble in the NIL landscape to maintain competitiveness at the conference and national level. We will be sure to maximize opportunities in NIL, education, and holistic development, while leveraging every avenue available to benefit our Toreros." 

The Olé Foundation will champion Torero student-athletes in their pursuit of excellence both on and off the field, aiming to foster their development throughout their journey at USD and beyond. Leveraging the support of USD alumni, fans, and the wider community, the foundation will facilitate personal and professional growth opportunities for USD student-athletes through financial investment and ongoing advocacy for their success.

Rogan ('08), Director of the Olé Foundation. "By engaging the vast network of USD alumni and supporters, the Olé Foundation will serve as yet another incredible resource made available to Torero student-athletes, that will enhance both the quality of the student-athlete experience and the positive association with our tremendous university."

The Olé Foundation's Advisory Board includes former Torero football player and former sports executive for Coach Jim Harbaugh, J.T. Rogan ('08); former baseball player, founder, and CEO of Athletiverse, Dominyck Bullard ('24); and Allison Monette ('07), founder and CEO of Cordova Creative, who previously worked in the national NIL space.
