SAN DIEGO – The San Diego women's soccer program has officially announced their 2024 schedule, with regular season play set to begin on Thursday. Aug. 15, against Cal State Fullerton.
After a preseason game against San Diego State on Thursday, Aug. 8 at Torero Stadium, the Toreros will open the regular season in Fullerton, Calif., in just under two months' time, facing the Titans at 7 p.m.
The game serves as a precursor to the 2024 home opener, as the Toreros welcome Long Beach State on Sunday, Aug. 18 at 1 p.m. San Diego is set to meet Long Beach for the first time since a thrilling, 2-2 draw back on Sep. 4, 2022.
After a road trip to UC Irvine on Aug. 22, the Toreros will be back at Torero Stadium once more in the month of August, welcoming UC Santa Barbara on Aug. 29.
September features a lengthy, five-game road swing, beginning at New Mexico on Sept. 1. Next, the Toreros will face California Baptist on Sept. 5 and California on Sept. 8. The swing will end with a rematch against UC Riverside on Sept. 15 after last season's hotly contested draw, before playing CSUN on Sept. 19.
Conference play opens on Sept. 25, as the Toreros welcome San Francisco for their WCC opener. From there, the Toreros will face a new conference opponent, as the Toreros head north to Pullman, Wash., to match up with first year WCC affiliate member Washington State on Sept. 28.
San Diego will open the month of October at home against Gonzaga on Oct. 2, before continuing WCC play at LMU on Oct. 9. The Toreros will follow that with their first WCC battle against new member Oregon State on Oct. 12 at Torero Stadium, before hosting Portland on Oct. 18.
A pair of key road games will conclude the month, as the Toreros face Pacific on Oct. 23, before resuming their high-scoring battle from last season against Saint Mary's on Oct. 26.
November will see the Toreros face a pair of high-level programs, as San Diego travels north to Malibu, Calif., to face Pepperdine on Nov. 2, before returning home for the home finale on Nov. 6 against Santa Clara.
