SAN BRUNO, Calif. — San Diego volleyball's
Nemo Beach and
Kylie Munday have been named the WCC Offensive Player and Setter of the Week for October 13, 2025, the West Coast Conference announced on Monday afternoon.
The Toreros' dynamic duo helped USD win a pair of key matches against Portland and Oregon State over the weekend, pushing San Diego (13-4, 6-0 WCC) into sole possession of first place in the WCC standings.
Beach, a junior outside hitter from Chandler, Arizona, continued her midseason surge by totaling 36 kills (5.14 K/S) while hitting a robust .326 across wins over Portland and Oregon State at the Jenny Craig Pavilion, also adding three service aces. She had 13 kills (4.33 K/S) and two service aces while hitting .375 in Thursday night's sweep of the Pilots, then racked up 23 kills (5.75 K/S) and another service ace while hitting .300 on Saturday afternoon as the Toreros defeated the Beavers by a 3-1 margin.
Monday marked Beach's third WCC Offensive Player of the Week recognition of 2025. She is the only player to have won the award multiple times this season.
Munday, a sophomore from Post Falls, Idaho, was at the center of San Diego's undefeated weekend, totaling 82 assists (11.71 A/S), 21 digs (3.00 D/S), six blocks, five kills, and four service aces.
She recorded a double-double on both Thursday and Saturday, helping the Toreros hit .297 as a team while combining to record 105 kills and just 31 attack errors.
Munday began her week with 31 assists (10.33 A/S) 11 digs, three blocks, two kills, and a service ace on Thursday night in a sweep of the Pilots, then racked up a remarkable 51 assists (12.75 A/S) in only four sets on Saturday afternoon as the Toreros defeated Oregon State by a 3-1 margin. She also added 10 digs, three blocks, three service aces, and three kills against the Beavers, which had entered the weekend tied with USD for first place in the WCC.
Monday's recognition marks the Toreros' conference-leading ninth and 10th weekly WCC accolades of 2025, which have been earned by six different players. USD has captured a weekly conference honor in six of the season's seven weeks so far, including an award in each of the last five announcements dating back to September 15.
San Diego is back in action on Thursday night, when it travels to Pullman, Washington for a crucial clash at Washington State (11-5, 5-1 WCC). First serve against the Cougars at Bohler Gym is set for 7:00 p.m.
