CARMEL, Calif. — San Diego men's golf finished its 2025 fall schedule with a solid showing on Tuesday afternoon, placing fourth out of 11 teams at The Preserve Golf Club Collegiate (hosted by Cal Poly) behind a tied-for-ninth-place performance from freshman
Reed Arnaldo.
Arnaldo carded rounds of 73, 66, and 71 to finish six under par. As a team, the Toreros were nineteen under, coming in behind only Oregon (third place), No. 32 Long Beach State (second place), and No. 25 BYU (first place).
Cooper Humphreys and
Reid Piron both finished at T-21, shooting -3 for the tournament with rounds of 69, 70, and 74, and 74, 68, and 71, respectively.
You Seong Choi was next at T-33 and +1 after shooting 72, 75, and 70, and
Go Nakatsukasa rounded out the Toreros' results at T-42 and +4 with rounds of 71, 70, and 79.
Charlie Gillespie set forth a strong performance competing as an individual, placing tied for ninth place alongside Arnaldo after shooting 68, 68, and 74 to go six under par.
This week's tournament marked San Diego's final event of 2025. USD will be back in action on January 26, 2026, when it begins play in the Southwestern Invitational hosted by Pepperdine at North Ranch Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California.
