SAN DIEGO – San Diego Men's Hoops was topped by NET No. 62 San Francisco Thursday night in the JCP, a 61-84 game that mostly boiled down to a 21-point difference from behind the 3-point line.
"USF shot the ball proficiently from long distance, hitting nine of their 20 attempts and we were two of 20 on our 3-point attempts," said USD Head Coach
Steve Lavin. "The 21-point edge in 3-point shooting was ultimately the difference in tonight's game."
Overall, San Francisco made ten more field goals on one more attempt, also finding success in the paint. A season-best attendance of 1,472 was reported as San Diego Basketball was celebrating Cahtolic Schools Day.
Highlighting the Torero day was senior center
Steven Jamerson II who posted his second double-double of February, scoring 12 with 10 rebounds after being a rebound shy of 20-point double-doubles in both of the last two games. Grad guard
Deven Dahlke was all over the stat sheet again, namely posting a career-best seven rebounds.
