SAN DIEGO – San Diego Women's Tennis dominated en route to a 4-0 win, a speedy victory to move to 2-0 in conference play, finishing in just over two hours.
The Toreros got off to a blitzing start from the get-go as the No. 2 doubles pairing of freshmen
Hannah Read and
Gabby Gregg put a bagel on the board, quickly winning 6-0. Sophomore
Kristina Nordikyan and freshman
Anni Puls followed soon after with a 6-3 victory.
Read carried over her rapid, controlling play into singles, where on court two she took care of business, 6-1, 6-1 to double the lead. Nordikyan was not far behind, claiming a 6-1, 6-1 victory of her own.
After a third Torero 6-1 first set victory,
Gabby Gregg used a 6-4 second set to clinch the USD sweep. The remaining matches would go unfinished.
The 64
th-ranked Toreros improve to 7-8 on the season, clinching their first sweep of the season, while it was the second straight match to start WCC play that a San Diego player did not lose a singles match.

San Diego will hit the road for the Bay Area, looking to continue it's perfect start to the WCC season, with a pair of matches, at Saint Mary's on Saturday, April 5 and at Pacific on Sunday, April 6.
