SAN DIEGO – San Diego Men's Basketball's 2025-26 conference matchups were released by the West Coast Conference Thursday morning, an 18-game slate that sees the Toreros face seven conference opponents twice, and the other four once.
In the second year of the unbalanced conference play, USD will have home-only matchups with Gonzaga and Washington State, road-only at Saint Mary's and new WCC member Seattle University. The Toreros will have traditional home-and-home battles with Santa Clara, San Francisco, Oregon State, LMU, Pepperdine, Portland and Pacific.
Year four under Head Coach
Steve Lavin, San Diego will host the Gonzaga Bulldogs for the first time since Jan. 20, 2024, and travel to Moraga, Calif. to face the Saint Mary's Gaels for the first time since Feb. 24, 2024 after last season's unbalanced schedule saw the reverse. The USD road trip to Seattle will be the third ever matchup between the two sides, first since the two spent a year together in the WCAC (now the WCC) in the 1979-80 season, in which the Redhawks won both matchups at the turn of the decade. San Diego fell narrowly in both of the matchups with Washington State in last season's first run as conference enemies.
Specific dates, tip times and TV broadcast selections as well as the Toreros non-conference slate to complete the 2025-26 schedule will be announced at later dates. The 2025-26 conference slate will begin on Sunday, Dec. 28. Following the 10-week schedule, the Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Basketball Championship will take place from March 5-10, 2026 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
