Softball Signs Transfer Outfielder Kaylee Oh

SAN DIEGO – San Diego softball and head coach MJ Knighten have brought in a strong new addition to their lineup with the signing of outfielder Kaylee Oh for the 2026 season.

Oh excelled during the 2025 season competing for Miami (OH) as she started in all 61 of her team's games and was selected to the MAC All-Tournament team.

"Kaylee is an absolute competitor," Knighten said. "She is fearless, driven and willing to do whatever it takes to win. As a coaching staff, we spent a lot of time evaluating what we needed to elevate our roster, and one thing was clear: we needed more speed. The moment we saw Kaylee in the portal and watched what she accomplished this past season, both in the box and on the bases, we knew she was exactly what we were looking for. She brings an electric energy and dynamic presence that will immediately impact our lineup. We're fired up to have her join the program and we can't wait to see her help us be competitively great this season!"

Providing a great spark at the top of the lineup, Oh posted a .307 batting average to go along with six home runs and 32 RBI while also showcasing her speed with 17 stolen bases. Her time with the RedHawks featured numerous highlights including her first collegiate home run against Georgia State, 15 multi-hit games, a three-hit performance against Ball State in the MAC Tournament and a pair of hits in a victory over North Carolina in the 2025 NCAA Regionals.

Oh joins the rest of the San Diego newcomers for the 2026 as the Toreros will welcome the following freshmen to the team this spring: Seleny Chavez (Nipomo, Calif.), Abrielle Diaz (Riverside, Calif.), Liliana Esparza (Henderson, Nev.), Adiah Fountain (Northridge, Calif.), Analeese Garcia (Chula Vista, CA) and Ava Rojas (Benicia, Calif.).

A Murrieta, California native, Oh will be continuing her collegiate career back in Southern California as the Toreros look forward to embarking on the 2026 spring season.
