ORANGE COUNTY — After a strong day of racing in her second ever collegiate meet, San Diego swimming and diving freshman Alison Diehl has been named the Big West's Swimmer of the Week as announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon.
Diehl competed in four total events during last Friday's meet at the USD Sports Center Pool, as she was a member of the Toreros' 200 medley relay team that turned in a third place finish with a time of 1:50.31.
The Ramsey, Minnesota native then delivered a trio of fourth place finishes as she raced in the 150 butterfly (1:33.13), 400 freestyle (4:08.43) and was on USD's 200 freestyle relay team that posted a time of 1:39.24 to wrap up the meet.
USD now looks ahead to the team's first road meet of the new season as they will head up to Malibu for the Pepperdine Invite on Saturday, October 4 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
