Box Score SEATTLE – San Diego women's tennis was unable to carry its momentum from a ranked win a day prior as the Toreros dropped a 4-0 road decision to No. 17 Washington Saturday afternoon.
With a shaken-up doubles lineup, Toreros battled on courts two and three, but were unable to claim a stake in either. The hosting Huskies claimed a 6-1 win on court one and a 7-5 victory on court two, the third going unfinished at 5-5.
In singles, Washington pushed forward on its home indoor courts – unfamiliar territory for the Toreros – taking all six first sets.
The ITA 17
th-ranked Huskies – with four ranked singles players – took straight-set victories on courts five, two and six to seal the 4-0 defeat of USD.
