SAN DIEGO — No. 50 San Diego women's tennis put up their third sweep in a row to round out the regular season as USD beat Gonzaga 4-0 on Sunday at the Hogan Tennis Center.

With the win, the Toreros finish the regular season 12-9, 6-1 and in second place in the West Coast Conference. The Toreros will be the two seed in the WCC Tournament starting Friday, April 24 in Fairfield, Calif. 
 
San Diego has now won 15 straight points in the last three duals to end regular season conference play, the longest stretch of undefeated play that San Diego has played to this season.
 
USD established themselves early as all three courts in doubles saw the San Diego pairings up 5-3 at the same time, with main court and court two clinching the points. The reigning WCC doubles team of the week of freshmen duo of Maria Shmakova and Vilma Krebs Hyllested once again got the dual rolling for San Diego as the pairing won 6-3 on court two. 
 
Sophomores Anni Moll and Hannah Read followed right after with a 6-3 victory of their own on main court to clinch the doubles point for USD.
 
Read carried her momentum from doubles into singles once again, as she started singles play for the Toreros with a bang with a bagel in her first set before finishing it off in two sets in a 6-0, 6-1 victory, repeating her singles result from yesterday's play to extend USD's lead to 2-0.
 
Krebs Hyllested had a strong win of her own, as she won 6-2, 6-4 to move San Diego to a 3-0 lead. With the last three courts all being close to clinching their matches with each Torero having five games in their second sets, Nordikyan pulled through first with a 6-2, 6-3 victory to clinch the dual for USD.

San Diego travels to the Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, Calif. to compete in the West Coast Conference Tournament from April 24-25.
