High School:Was an Honor Roll student at Seattle Prep where she rowed for Coach Briana Schulte... As a senior she was undefeated in all races, including the Regional Championships where her boat went home with the gold... Rowed two years at Lake Union Crew, competing in the V8+ and 4+... Was undefeated at Brentwood Regatta and all Greenlake Regatta races... Also played volleyball and basketball... Helped basketball team make state all four years and was known by her teammates as 'crazy fire' for her inspirational halftime speeches. Personal: Born July 23, 1995 to Michelle and John Claeys in Seattle, Wash... Chose USD for the wonderful education, location, and because the rowing team is a 'competitive, tight-knit, and motivating team.'..
